Job Summary and Responsibilities

Assists with the workflow within Imaging Services to support efficiency and excellent patient care.

 

  • Checks department wheelchairs and carts daily assuring both are mechanically sound; immediately reports
    equipment defects to supervisor.
  • Cleans transporting equipment after every patient.
  • Insures correct identity of patient before transporting.
  • Verifies mode of transport and exam order in the chart prior to transport
  • Checks with patients nurse prior to taking patient from the floor. If patient is on telemetry they must be called prior to the patient leaving the floor and upon their return

Job Requirements

Minimum

High School Graduate/GED
Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)

Basic computer skills
Completion of Restraint Training within 6 - months 
Completion of Safe Patient Handling program 
Completion of Oxygen Training program 
Completion of Medical Terminology Course
