Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Director Nursing Med/Surg at California Hospital you will be responsible for acute Medical / Surgical Services comprised of 112 beds and a 27 bed flex unit for overflow and patient throughput. You will lead upwards of 200 staff to provide quality care to our Medical Surgical patient population.
You will direct the operations, work with the Sr. Director Acute-Care Services and Nurse Manager Med/Surg on key initiatives, and work with other front-line leaders to ensure we maintain high standards of patient care in very fast paced environments.

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience required.
Required Licensure: 
  • Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
