St. Catherine Hospital, located in Garden City, Kansas, was founded by two pioneering physicians and the Dominican Sisters. The Medical Unit at St. Catherine Hospital specializes in general medical and surgical patient care and is a 48-bed unit. We treat adult patients that are 16 years and older needing medical or surgical intervention with no overflow from other departments. We are a desirable department because we value teamwork and collaboration. Patient safety and experience is a priority as well as employee job satisfaction. The Inpatient Rehabilitation department at St. Catherine Hospital is a ten-bed, acute inpatient physical rehabilitation unit. We care for post stroke and extremely debilitated patients and rehabilitate them to be able to go home safely. Our mission is to rehabilitate patients to their best quality of life. We are a desirable team that works collaboratively together, somewhat flexible schedule, and have a good education program within rehab. We look for candidates that are willing to work as a team, can communicate well with staff, patients, and families and are supportive of the rehabilitation.
The Clinical Nursing Manager is responsible for the management of clinical nursing practices and patient care delivery on the assigned unit(s). The role functions include management of human, fiscal, material, support and systems resources while achieving and maintaining the goals of a unit or department by focusing on the unit or department’s daily operations. The Clinical Nursing Manager role demonstrates a high level of integrity, willingness to take on new challenges and prioritizes associate engagement. This position consistently promotes a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers. The Clinical Nursing Manager supports associate development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.
