As our Environmental Services Tech, you will be responsible for completing, as assigned, daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and other common areas. You will perform duties while demonstrating a working knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements, displaying safe chemical use and equipment handling.
Every day you will adhere to all organization safety, risk management, and infection control guidelines and standards, actively promoting a culture of safety. You will also participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives, including those focused on patient experience and cleanliness metrics.
To be successful in this role, you will meticulously manage supplies, equipment, and waste disposal according to established protocols, ensuring strict adherence to infection prevention and safety guidelines. You will also practice critical thinking and personal accountability, collaborating with the team to perform various facility tasks and resolve issues effectively.
Can distinguish the differences between levels of disinfection and perform low and intermediate level disinfection. · Ability to explain orally or in writing the differences between levels of disinfection and perform intermediate level disinfection in areas where required. · Ability to operate necessary equipment/machines. · Effectively uses computers and mobile devices.
