Job Summary and Responsibilities

The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner. Responsible for radiographic examinations utilizing diagnostic radiographic equipment. Provides direct patient care to patients of all ages. Contributes to the efficient operation of the department, ensuring the quality and continuity of patient care. This position performs all general radiography procedures and all procedures in one additional imaging modality ( IR, CT, NM, US, MRI). This position works closely with the chief technologist and radiologist to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care

Job Requirements

 

  • Certification by the California Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CRT), and Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Fluoroscopy
  • AHA Basic Life Support
  • Fire Safety within 90 days of hire
  • Skilled and knowledgeable in general radiography technology and one additional imaging modality. 
  • Participates in on-call assignments. Specialized Training - Training in an additional modality from an AMA approved school or OJT with licensure from accrediting body or OJT with documented performance and meeting eligibility requirements for board examinations as outlined by the accrediting body. 
  • Performs all general radiographic procedures including portables, c-arm and surgery procedures. 
  • Performs all procedures in identified additional imaging modality.
