Job Summary and Responsibilities

Seeking vigilant, empathetic individuals to ensure patient safety. This vital role involves ongoing observation of high-risk patients (suicide watch, fall risk) through in-person monitoring or camera/monitor technology. Your keen eye and quick thinking will make a profound difference.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Continuous Observation: Maintain constant visible contact or monitor patients for changes in physical, emotional, or mental conditions.
  • Prompt Communication: Immediately relay patient requests and critical observations to assigned staff, especially life-threatening actions or changes in activity.
  • Safe Environment: Ensure a clean and secure patient area, documenting utensil usage.
  • Detailed Records: Observe and record all patient activity every 15 minutes.
  • Support & Engagement: Provide diversional activities as designated by staff.
  • Seamless Handoffs: Give and receive accurate reports to ensure continuity of care.

This role provides direct and indirect patient care across all age groups (Infancy to Later Life).

 

Shift: Casual Part-Time, Varied; 12 Hour Shifts
