Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Mammography Technologist, you will be vital in early breast cancer detection, performing high-quality mammographic imaging with precision and compassion.

 

Every day, you will expertly operate equipment, meticulously position patients, ensure comfort, perform quality control, and maintain accurate records. You'll collaborate with radiologists and adhere to safety and regulatory standards for comprehensive breast health.

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess current mammography certification, exceptional technical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a compassionate demeanor, ensuring accurate diagnostics and positive patient experiences.

  • Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of x-ray and mammographic equipment and their related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures
  • Position patients for appropriate procedures using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
  • Assist physicians with interventional imaging procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast, if applicable
  • Maintains awareness of and practices established radiation safety standards in carrying out duties
  • Utilizes innovative customer service techniques to provide a positive patient care experience for the patient and their family

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Completion of an accredited Radiology Program
  • Minimum two (2) years of imaging experience
  • Medical Radiographer (MRAD:TX)
  • CPR-BLS - Through American Heart Association
  • ARRT (R) - Radiology
  • ARRT (M) - Mammography
