Bakersfield Memorial Hospital includes 385 general acute beds, 48 licensed critical care beds, 13 state-of-the-art surgical suites, and a full-service Emergency Department with an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Nationally Certified Stroke Center. Job Summary

• Is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. 
• Performs duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan, Joint Commission and other licensing, accrediting and regulatory agencies. 
• Provides care for patients of newborn through geriatric ages. 
• Assists with activities of daily living, provides basic care to non-acutely ill patients, and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
• All activities are under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.

Experience & Education

1-2 years of acute care experience preferred

Nurse Assistant certification OR completion of a nursing fundamentals class and are currently enrolled in nursing school OR a graduate from a nursing program.

Licensure 

Nurse Assistant certification OR completion of a nursing fundamentals class and are currently enrolled in nursing school OR a graduate from a nursing program and BLS required.

CNA:CA; BLS-CPR
