Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan, you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

We’re seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. In this role, you’ll deliver exceptional patient care by providing comprehensive clinical pharmaceutical services, collaborating closely with healthcare professionals, and ensuring safe and effective medication management. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring and guiding pharmacy staff, students, and residents.

  • Interpret and verify medication orders for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness.

  • Document clinical activities, interventions, and patient education according to policy.

  • Provide timely dispensing of medications and verify medications prepared by pharmacy personnel.

  • Communicate and consult with providers and other healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related issues and ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Counsel patients and provide accurate, accessible drug information.

Job Requirements

Active State Pharmacist License in good standing AND American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
