Where You’ll Work

St. Luke’s Health - Memorial Hospital in Livingston, TX,  is located just off Highway 59 south. The 66-bed hospital provides more than 60,000 patient services each year, with half of those services being offered in the Level 4 Trauma-Designated Emergency Department. Services offered include, Orthopedic care, Women’s Services, and a state-of-the-art Sleep Center. Imaging services include MRI, CT scan, nuclear medicine scans, 4D Ultrasound, cardiac echocardiograms, fluoroscopy, bone density scanning and 3D mammography.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Surgical Tech, you will help prepare the operating room and surgical team so they can successfully perform a variety of surgical procedures for patients. Every day you will set up surgical equipment and instruments, assist the surgical team, and ensure a sterile environment.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgical team in the scrubbing role according CHI St. Luke's policies and procedures.
  • Pass instruments, suture products, medication, and sponge materials to surgeon.
  • Assist with retracting of tissue and organs, and suctioning by holding the retracting.
  • Utilize/open supplies judiciously, offers suggestions, improvements with focus on quality and cost containment.
  • Work closely with the instrument room as service specialist/instrument liaison to assure provision of quality.

We are offering a $10,000 Sign On Bonus to new hires that meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

Required
High School Diploma/GED
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) or Certified First Assistant (CSFA)
BLS (AHA only)

 

Preferred
Graduate of an accredited educational program for Surgical Technologists
