Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Product Engineer will have responsibility for designing and creating products, working with stakeholders to understand the need, and working with team members to build and deploy applications in production. The Product Engineer works closely with applications and technical teams to ensure the efficient flow of information and data. Ensures that plans are followed and issues resolved in a manner that results in a successful implementation.

 

The Product Engineer will use advanced problem-solving and analytical skills to implement, upgrade and support complex application systems.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Works on medium to high complexity data product development initiatives
  • Develops and maintains complex frontend applications with a focus on User experience
  • Develops and maintains backend systems
  • Has excellent SQL skills with experience in relational and NoSQL databases
  • Responsible for following full product lifecycle
  • Has experience in messaging architecture like Kafka MQ, Mulesoft or Rabbit MQ
  • Works on building multi threaded applications
  • Can create a proof of concept for the products under consideration
  • Has experience in or strong knowledge of Cloud architecture like AWS or GCP
  • Has experience in writing API services
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders
  • Has outstanding written and communication skills
  • Creates and maintains DevOps process, application infrastructure and cloud services
  • Provides support to the applications in production
  • Innovates and advocates best practices
  • Has knowledge of Big Data platforms and tools
  • Remote eligible.

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree and 2-3 years of relevant experience
