Virginia Mason Franciscan Health brings together two award winning health systems in Washington state - CHI Franciscan and Virginia Mason. As one integrated health system with the most patient access points in western Washington our team includes 18,000 staff and nearly 5,000 employed physicians and affiliated providers. At Virginia Mason Franciscan Health you will find the safest and highest quality of care provided by our expert, compassionate medical care team at 11 hospitals and nearly 300 sites throughout the greater Puget Sound region.
As our Inventory Tech, you will use an automated inventory control and par leveling system for the ordering, receiving, and stocking/restocking of medical supplies/equipment under the scope of supply chain management. You will restock supplies daily and rotate inventory, supporting accurate inventory levels and generating orders/requisitions as needed.
Every day you will distribute medical supplies and equipment to patient care areas, monitoring par levels for specific products to assure appropriate levels are established in order not to affect patient function. You will identify opportunities to reduce costs through the manipulation of par levels, reorder points/min/max, and reduction of holding costs. You will also identify excess inventory, returning stock and processing credits, and notify your supervisor of outdates or slow-moving inventory.
To be successful in this role, you will participate in the put away and validation process of perpetual inventory items, issuing and crediting materials from the inventory management system. You will be responsible for maintaining clean and orderly stock locations, labeling bins, and handling requests to change pars, acting as a liaison between clinical staff and supply chain management. You will work with and follow instructions of buyers and the Divisional Inventory Coordinator in the event of recalls to pull relevant products.
