Job Summary and Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Physical Therapist performs patient evaluations, develops treatment plans and sets goals for treatment. Communicates patient status, progress, and discharge recommendations to the interdisciplinary team. Oversees the provision of service by technicians and assistants as required. This position requires providing care/service to an acutely ill through rehabilitating pediatric through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of the individual served.

 

Essential functions include but not limited to:

  • Assures that the rights of the patient/family are respected and maintained.
  • Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care.
  • Identifies self by name and title to patient/family.
  • Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive.
  • Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified.
  • Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee.

Job Requirements

$5000 sign on bonus for new hires. Per policy, current employees are not eligible.

 

Required:

  • Graduate of an Accredited Physical Therapy Program
  • Current California License as a Physical Therapist or proof of Board eligibility
  • Current BLS Card
