Job Summary and Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Patient Registration Rep to join our healthcare team. The Patient Registration Rep is responsible for accurately and efficiently registering patients for medical services, obtaining necessary information, and ensuring a positive patient experience. If you are a dedicated, experienced Patient Registration Rep committed to providing high-quality patient care, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. 

 

  • Greet patients and visitors, providing excellent customer service.
  • Accurately and efficiently register patients for medical services, including verifying patient information and insurance coverage.
  • Obtain necessary information, such as medical history, medication allergies, and other related information, from patients, and ensure that all information is entered correctly into the electronic health record
  • Assist the patient in filling out the necessary paperwork
  • Collect copays and outstanding balances at the time of service and provide patients with receipts

 

This position is represented by SEIU UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a hospital Patient Registration department, physician office setting, healthcare insurance company, revenue cycle vendor, and/or other revenue cycle-related roles required.
  • Experience in requesting and processing financial payments required.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required. 
  • Fire Safety card within 90 days of hire date required.

Preferred: 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
