Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinical Lab Scientist, you will be instrumental in unraveling medical mysteries, providing crucial diagnostic insights that directly impact patient treatment and recovery.

Every day, you will perform complex technical analyses across various laboratory disciplines, meticulously verifying results for accuracy and quality assurance. You will operate and maintain sophisticated instrumentation and collaborate closely with laboratory leadership to uphold the highest standards of practice and patient care.

To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a profound dedication to scientific accuracy in a fast-paced environment. You will demonstrate a strong work ethic, effective communication skills, and the ability to maintain composure under pressure while working as a critical component of the patient care team.

  • Assists management with the maintenance of appropriate policies, procedures and equipment as requested
  • Conducts orientation and training of new personnel and monitors performance of appropriate personnel in the section of primary responsibility as requested
  • Assists in the operation and maintenance of automated analyzers and maintains an adequate inventory of departmental supplies
  • Performs quality control, quality assurance, and performance improvement indicators routinely in the department
  • Maintains work areas in an appropriate state of orderliness
  • Monitors performance of the daily workload to ensure efficient departmental operations

Job Requirements

Required

  • Recent clinical laboratory experience
  • Clinical Lab Scientist - CA CLS


Preferred

  • Advanced degree in a related field and experience in an acute care hospital 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through an American Heart Association Provider
