Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Maintenance Technician, you'll keep our patient rooms and all areas of the hospital clean and sanitized. This protects everyone from potential illness or injury due to infectious diseases or other hazards.

Every day, you will perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, or dusting. You will also use specialized equipment and techniques to further sanitize our facility. This role requires you to learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials, including bodily fluids or sharp objects. You may also refill soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and other supplies, as well as deliver clean linens.

  • Performs assigned tasks according to the requirement of their particular craft or trade.
  • Participate in training programs including personal development, safety education, and technical advancement, and also maintain a superior attitude toward professional development.
  • Operate project HVAC equipment including, but not limited to, boilers, chillers, air handler units, and computerized environmental control systems under the direction of leader.

  • Operate, maintain, and participate in the testing of project life/safety systems including emergency power, sprinkler, fire alarm, and specialty medical alarm systems.
  • Respond to and resolve tenant house call needs in a timely fashion including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and miscellaneous requests. Maintain an accurate log of same.

Job Requirements

Required
  • High School Graduate General Experience, upon hire or
  • High School GED General Experience, upon hire and
  • Other Trade School graduate or Eight (8) years of experience., upon hire and
  • Four (4) years related maintenance experience
  • None, upon hire
