Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Employee Health Nurse, you will serve as a critical clinician, safeguarding the well-being of our dedicated staff and fostering a healthy, thriving workplace community through expert assessment and intervention.

Every day you will deliver comprehensive occupational health services, including complex pre-employment screenings, immunizations, acute injury assessment and management, case management, and proactive health education for our employees.

To be successful in this role you will combine advanced clinical expertise with exceptional organizational and critical thinking skills, a compassionate approach, and a proactive commitment to promoting the health and safety of our valued employees, ultimately contributing to a healthier and stronger organization.

  • Coordinates the Workers Compensation Program, claims management and the Transitional Work Program by coordinating information from various sources, taking appropriate action and recording information, all with a problem- solving approach.
  • Coordinates pre-employment and interval physical examinations/evaluations, makes recommendations based on results of pre-employment physicals as they pertain to specific job classifications.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all required pre-employment and other interval health evaluations, screenings or mandatory workplace health requirements are completed.
  • Responsible for ensuring that employee health records are accurate and complete and assists with and ensures that appropriate employee health records are entered and tracked in the employee electronic health record system.
  • Performs basic health assessments, counsels employees regarding health problems and makes appropriate referrals.
  • Identifies nursing problems and solutions and utilizes appropriate resources as necessary.

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate High School Diploma, upon hire or
  • High School GED, upon hire and
  • Minimum two years experience inEmployee health or occupational healthnursing., upon hire and
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire or
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse: CA, upon hire and

Preferred

  • Minimum two years experience inEmployee health or occupational healthnursing experience ,preferably ina hospital Employee Health setting., upon hire and
  • Licensed Healthcare Worker , upon hire
  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse, upon hire
