Job Summary and Responsibilities

The incumbent is accountable and responsible for decontamination, instrument recognition, set assembly, dispensing carts, sterilization and documentation in all medical center and clinics as required or assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Completion of Certified Sterile Processing program. and six (6) months experience.
  • Certified and Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
  • Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Supervisor (CSPDS)
  • Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Tech (CSPDT)
  • Cert Sterile Processing Dist Tech (CSPDT-CBSPD)
  • Proficient computer skills such as but not limited to basic Microsoft and keyboarding, demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of surgical instruments, assembly, packaging, sterilization, cleaning and decontamination processes and proper safety practice including infection control, body mechanics and hazardous materials.
  • Basic knowledge of medical supplies and record keeping.
