Job Summary and Responsibilities

The ED Screening Program Manager is responsible for the coordination, planning and implementation of St. Mary Medical Center ED Screening Program. The program will increase screening for HIV, Hepatitis C and other STIs for patients in the Emergency Department and will provide linkage to the CARE Center for those with positive results.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the ED Screening Program (EDSP). Develop and implement strategies to meet program goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with ED staff, program champions, hospital administration, CARE Center staff and community partners. Collect, analyze, and report program data to funders
  • Ultimately responsible for ensuring that every effort is made to follow up with and link positive and high risk patients to care
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and follow up on internal FOCUS Task Force meetings
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports and performance metrics
  • Maintain accurate records of program activities and outcomes

Job Requirements

  • 1-3 years coordinating an ED-based screening program or similar required,  and experience working in a HIV-related field preferred.
  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience and cultural competency with high-risk groups and providing services to high risk individuals, homeless or underserved populations
