Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CV Tech, you will help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting.

Every day you’ll independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet. You will demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilize good radiation safety practices and you will make a positive impact on internal and external customers.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.
  • Assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic cardiology testing. Measurement: Observation, Documentation, Accuracy, Patient Care Documentation.
  • Transports patients as needed. Measurement: Observation.
  • Accurately and completely documents procedures including all pertinent clinical manifestations. Measurement: Observation, Documentation, Accuracy, Patient Care Documentation.
  • Provides Pre- and Post-test instructions to patients and families. Measurement: Observation, Documentation, Accuracy, Patient Care Documentation.
  • Organizes and maintains test tracings and other records. Measurement: Observation, Documentation, Proper Processing of Paperwork, Accuracy.
  • Maintains department equipment and notifies manager of needs. Measurement: Observation, Equipment Condition.

Job Requirements

Required
  • Associate Science Degree and/or certificate of Achievement - Cardiovascular Technology Program. and Four (4) years experience in Cardiovascular Technology or related field, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
