CT Technologist

Located in the Phoenix, Ariz., suburb of Gilbert, the Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, is a 198-bed, not-for profit hospital with more than 1,300 team members and almost 900 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.

Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.

To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

• Displays a thorough knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and positioning as it relates to performance of CT scan procedures. Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations. CT scans may include but are not limited to: Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro, Interventional Procedures.
• Displays competency operating equipment, performing procedures, teleradiology system, and ability to function as a radiologic technologist when requested.
• Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others by use of available radiation protection devices. Ensure badges are worn appropriately and readings are available.
• Practices good sterile technique when required and utilizes universal precautions and other infect control practices as appropriate.
• Displays knowledge of various drugs and contrast media utilized. Displays competency injecting contrast media, if required.
• Accurately completes electronic documentation in Meditech and PACS.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of two years CT tech experience.
• Graduate AMA approved school of radiologic technology
• Basic computer skills including MS Office Suites.
• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CRT-State of Arizona. ARRT-R-National.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Card
