Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Nursing Manager, you will be a dynamic leader, guiding and empowering our nursing team to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care through continuous growth and operational excellence.  24 hour accountability for a unit area. The major responsibilities are in providing leadership and communication, monitoring the work environment, assuring quality, managing the fiscal budget, managing human resources and ensuring the delivery of competent clinical practice.

Every day, you will lead and mentor Registered Nurses, oversee clinical operations, and advocate for patient and team needs, driving professional development and achieving unit goals.

To be successful in this role, you will embody accountability and confidence with superior communication skills for all interactions. You'll skillfully navigate challenges, ensuring individual performance and overall unit success.

  • Support and actualizes the Division of Nursing philosophy and goals by assuming leadership in program development and implementation.
  • Staff is developed to assume leadership roles both formally and informally, via role modeling and facilitating staff participation in shared governance structure.
  • Facilitates development and implementation to solution to problems.
  • Develops and Implements effective communication channels to provide information to all staff members, holding at least one unit meeting per month with posting of minutes and notice.
  • Directs and Participates in the orientation of new employees, evaluates programs effecting employees. 6.Has an identified council structure with an elected Staff Nurse Professional Practice Council
  • representative. Conducts unit council meetings monthly incorporating new knowledge and skills to meet changing needs of patient families, department employees and institution.

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Other 3 years leadership experience, upon hire or
  • Masters Other, upon hire and

Required License and Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN): TX, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR, within 14 - days (American Heart Association) and
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), within 6 - months and
  • Stable Program, within 6 - months
