As our Sterile Processing Supervisor, you will provide 24-hour oversight and leadership for the Sterile Processing unit. This critical role ensures efficient, safe, and cost-effective sterilization, directly impacting patient safety and clinical operations.

Every day you will manage and lead the Sterile Processing team, allocating staff, equipment, and resources cost-effectively. You'll assist the manager with budget preparation, maintenance, and monitoring. You will also develop and maintain standards of care consistent with hospital policies and our Mission and Philosophy.

To be successful, you will demonstrate strong supervisory skills, in-depth sterile processing knowledge, patient safety expertise, and resource management. Excellent financial acumen, communication, and an unwavering commitment to quality assurance and organizational values are essential.

• Supervises all assigned staff to meet the needs of patients and their families.
• Performs personnel-related functions (hiring, terminating, disciplining, training, etc.). Ensures staffing is appropriate.
• Submits performance assessments to Director for approval prior to due date. Evaluates work performance of staff and makes recommendations for merit increases, promotions and disciplinary actions.
• Holds regular staff meetings to maintain open communication within the department.
• Counsels employees and implements disciplinary action as necessary according to severity of infraction utilizing organization personnel policies.
• Prepares work schedules, assigns personnel, evaluates work performance and makes recommendations for personnel action.

Minimum:

• High School Diploma/GED 

• 3 years experience as an instrument technician, surgical technician, and/or Central Supply technician

• One of the following certifications: CRCST, CSPDS, CSPDT or CSPDT-CBSPD 

Preferred:

• Bachelors and supervisory experience
