St. Michael Medical Center in beautiful Bremerton, WA, is actively seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Oncology Clinic RN to join our state-of-the-art Cancer Center! This position is responsible for providing professional care specifically to adult, oncology/hematology patients. Work is performed under standards of safety and care that provide instruction/guidance for taking care of issues and patient needs in the absence of a physician/provider. Work requires the application of judgment and critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care (within the scope of practice), including knowledge and integration of available standards, resources and data, and in the efficient utilization of staff/resources. Work involves continuous contact with physicians/providers, patients, patient families, community agencies, patient care staff and management. An incumbent is accountable for the quality of care provided to patients, and has the authority to direct care, provide education, and delegate appropriate tasks.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
Required Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing program upon hire; and
Bachelors of Nursing - preferred; and
Oncology experience upon hire - preferred
Required License and Certifications:
Registered Nurse: WA (RN:WA) upon hire; and
Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) through the American Heart Association; and
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) - preferred
