Job Summary and Responsibilities

Are you a highly organized, meticulous professional with a passion for precision and patient support? Join our dynamic team!

 

You'll be solely responsible for meticulously scheduling all inpatient and outpatient surgery, medical procedures, tests, and studies. You're the crucial link, providing essential support and communication to patients and physicians.

 

You will:

  • Schedule & Coordinate: Maintain the surgery schedule; coordinate, register, and schedule appointments.
  • Pre-certification: Conduct patient pre-certification for insurance approval.
  • Pre-Op Assurance: Ensure all pre-operative tests are scheduled and completed.
  • Resource Coordination: Confirm necessary equipment ordered, room availability, and pre-surgery medication are arranged.
  • Patient Communication: Communicate detailed instructions and answer questions regarding surgery preparation and arrival/departure.
  • Follow-Up Scheduling: Schedule necessary follow-up appointments.
  • Problem Resolution: Receive/screen calls related to date changes/cancellations; escalate non-routine issues.
