Resource Patient Care Assistant Part Time Nights

Performs a variety of routine tasks to support the delivery of safe, effective, cost-efficient patient care as delegated by the RN. The Resource PCA will provide assistance in transporting, transferring and lifting. Performs patient care duties to support the caregiving team as delegated and with associated competencies. The Resource PCA will be required to float to different departments within the facility where there is a business need to assist in providing patient care.

• Provides direct patient care as delegated by RN staff.
• Monitors and records vital signs.
• Assists in providing personal hygiene and physical care needs.
• Accurately measures, records, and reports intake and output.
• Obtains and records daily weight.
• Performs blood glucose testing using blood glucose meter.

Required:

• High School Graduate General Studies and One (1) year direct patient care experience, upon hire or
• High School GED General Studies and One (1) year direct patient care experience, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
