Our full range of medical services includes trauma services, heart and vascular care, emergency services, surgery, maternity, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Cardiac Monitor Specialist, you will be a vital member of the patient care team, responsible for ensuring continuous and accurate cardiac monitoring, directly contributing to patient safety and timely interventions.

Every day, you will meticulously monitor patient cardiac rhythms, promptly initiating/discontinuing monitoring, responding to and interpreting all alarms while notifying nurses per protocol. You'll ensure safe monitoring by maintaining alarm limits, instantly addressing life-threatening arrhythmias, and communicating critical vital sign changes. 

To be successful in this role, you will combine a strong understanding of cardiac physiology and arrhythmia interpretation, exceptional attention to detail in data analysis, and a meticulous approach to maintaining patient safety and accurate documentation. You will demonstrate the ability to respond swiftly to critical situations, possess excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams, and thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment dedicated to supporting optimal patient outcomes. 

One (1) month on-the-job training/experience provided to achieve competency in cardiac rhythm skills and operation of the centralized telemetry system

Job Requirements

  • Basic Life Support Training (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire
  • New hire is required to successfully complete Basic ECG Interpretation class within two (2) weeks
  • Within six (6) months, employee is expected to complete certification for cardiac rhythm analysis technician (CRAT) offered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International
