Location: Immanuel Family Clinic - 72nd & Sorenson Pkwy 

 

The Clinic EMT plays a critical role in supporting the clinical operations of our busy family medicine practice. This position leverages the EMT's specialized training to provide immediate patient care in emergent situations, perform a broad range of clinical support tasks, and contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of the clinic environment. The Clinic EMT works collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and medical assistants to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, efficiency, and safety, adeptly managing all intake processes and supporting clinical operations. Your ability to meticulously follow protocols, maintain a clean and stocked environment, and proactively address concerns will be crucial for exceptional patient experiences.

  • Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
  • Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by completing intake duties such as obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reason for visit.
  • Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
  • Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
  • Ensures patient exam rooms are stocked, clean, and orderly.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High School Graduate or equivalent, upon hire 
  • State of Nebraska-approved EMT training program graduate
  • Active State NE EMT License required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Medication Aide: NE, within 60 Days
