Job Summary and Responsibilities

Night Full Time TICU Registered Nurse

 

$15,000 - Sign On Bonus offered for new hires. Per policy, current employees are not eligible.

The Trauma Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a dynamic and specialized 8-bed unit dedicated to the comprehensive treatment and management of a diverse range of trauma-related injuries. Our highly skilled and compassionate staff is committed to delivering superior, patient-centered care to every individual entrusted to our expertise. We prioritize a collaborative approach, featuring a dedicated team of experienced Trauma Surgeons who work in close partnership with our exceptional nursing staff. This integrated model ensures seamless communication, timely interventions, the highest possible compassionate and quality care, ultimately contributing to optimal patient outcomes and a supportive healing environment. 

 

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

  • Assessment: Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards.
  • Care of Patient: Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.
  • Clinical/Technical Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.
  • Documentation: Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures.
  • Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.
  • Leadership: Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors.

Job Requirements

Minimum:

  • 1 year RN experience in critical care at an acute care hospital
  • Current California RN License
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Current AHA PALS or obtained within 6 months of hire
  • Current Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification or obtained within 12 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Trauma Experience preferred
