Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to directly impact life-saving diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Every day, you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols.

To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.

  • Provide technical support as needed. With the guidance of the Coordinator, Manager, Director or Provider, assist physicians , Nurses, and Rad Techs. Operate and maintain the systems under the direction of a physician or licensed person.
  • Respond rapidly to the need for the initiation, maintenance or troubleshooting of all cardiac systems in the OR, ICU, CCU, Cath Lab, EP, IR, and ER.
  • Assist with the transport of patients receiving support and procedures away from the patient’s room.
  • Maintain cleanliness and storage of all equipment.
  • Completes departmental documentation for record keeping and patient charges.
  • Communicates with the Manager or Coordinator all critical department activities to allow for the proper coordination of activities and personnel resources.

Required

  • Associate’s Degree upon hire
  • Medical Radiographer: KY upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire 
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT upon hire
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI upon hire or; 
  • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist upon hire or; 
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist upon hire or; 
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer upon hire and; 
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days of hire
