Job Summary and Responsibilities

Responsible for contributing to the health of our community by providing quality services in a compassionate and cost-effective manner.

  • Assists in assuring departmental competency and compliance to all regulatory, accreditation and hospital standards of care.
  • Works in collaboration with the Department Managers and Directors to develop and implement integrated policies and procedures. Ensures that standards and policies and procedures are followed in daily practice.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information deemed confidential and takes steps to assure processes that protect confidentiality.
  • Participates in the annual general competency assessment program for all employees and volunteers.
  • Assists in the provision of general nursing services orientation and unit/job specific nursing orientation.
  • Assists in the annual nursing services annual competency based assessment program.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors degree (if candidate does not have a Bachelor's Degree, candidate must have minimum three years of experience within a healthcare educator role)
  • Five years experience in acute health care nursing
  • Recent clinical experience 
  • California RN license


Preferred

  • Project/program development experience
