The purpose of Dignity Health Management Services Organization (Dignity Health MSO) is to build a system-wide integrated physician-centric, full-service management service organization structure. Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Contract Specialist II, reporting to the Network Operations/Contracting Manager, plays a critical role in managing contracts within the PHSO. This position demands a strong grasp of healthcare regulations and contract law to develop, negotiate, and oversee a variety of agreements, including service, provider, and vendor contracts.


Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contract language and rates, ensuring all documentation is accessible to DHMSO staff electronically and in hardcopy. The Specialist will be crucial in ensuring all contracts comply with relevant laws and organizational policies, collaborating closely with legal, finance, and compliance teams to mitigate risks and secure favorable terms.

 

The role also involves monitoring contract performance, compliance, and renewal dates, as well as maintaining a comprehensive contract management system for accurate record-keeping. The Contract Specialist II will act as a primary contact for external partners on contract matters, organize and attend relevant meetings, and perform general office and clerical duties. Additionally, they will secure one-case agreements with non-contracted providers when needed and provide administrative support to designated management staff. This position is vital for ensuring all contracts are compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational objectives.

 

***This role is work from home within California, preferrable within the Central or Southern CA regions.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:


- 6+ years experience working in a high-level administrative support position.
- 2+ years working in a medical group, health plan, hospital or other related healthcare organization. In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law,and Anti-Kickback Statute.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Law, or related field.
- Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and administration.

 

Preferred Qualifications:


- Masters degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Law, or related field preferred.
- 8+ years experience working in a high-level administrative support position preferred.
- 4+ years working in a medical group, health plan, hospital or other related healthcare organization preferred.
