As our Lab Assistant at CHI St Vincent, you will help many patients get excited about blood work. That’s a fact. Knowing this, we make sure we have the best Phlebotomists on our team to provide the highest level of patient care. We hire Phlebotomists who not only have the proper training and education to get the job done, but also have a special skill of putting our patients at ease when blood work is ordered. • Coordinates the day to day operation of phlebotomy and specimen receiving to ensure all client needs are met.
• Coordinates the training of all new employees, ensuring the new employee checklist is completed in a timely manner.
• Can perform all functions of Technical Assistant.
• Performs registration and billing functions for all patient types.
• Demonstrates knowledge of computer functions required to receive, process, distribute and track all types of specimens.

Education: High school diploma, GED, Metropolitan Test or equivalent.     

Experience: At least three (3) years phlebotomy experience and two (2) years SVHS Laboratory experience.
