As a Receptionist, you'll be the warm and welcoming face of our organization, ensuring every patient's journey begins and proceeds with comfort and efficiency.
Your daily impact will involve expertly managing patient reception, coordinating essential administrative tasks, and leveraging technology to ensure seamless operations. You'll skillfully guide diverse patient populations, providing thoughtful assistance and ensuring they feel at ease and fully understand their care instructions.

Answer telephones and take messages
• Answers telephone by the third ring
• Observes proper telephone etiquette
• Records all messages for department personnel
Schedule patients
• Schedules all patients for exams and gives patient preparation information
• Reports to appropriate person after preparations are to be reordered
• Maintains a schedule book and updates appropriate paperwork
Patient registration
• Registers all new patients within 15 minutes of order being received or patient presenting at the desk
• Upgrade patient information as necessary.
• Completes all necessary paperwork
• Report processing
Deliver all reports to Nursing Station
File all reports, flashcards and jackets daily
• Separates & processes all reports
• Places physician copy of report in their courier box in mailroom for delivery
• Maintains list of providers addresses & updates as needed
• Files jackets daily
• Updates patient information as needed
• Meets special needs such as Cine film pulling for doctors, pulling for outside services
• Fills appropriate Cine film/ECHO release forms for patient & family
Demonstrate flexibility in job duties
• Attends in-services & workshops as requested by the manager
• Assists in ordering all office supplies.
• Becomes knowledgeable of functioning of all areas of department
• 6.4 Suggest areas that need attention & offer assistance
