The Environmental Services Technician plays a critical role in upholding a safe and sanitary healthcare environment. Core responsibilities include the comprehensive cleaning and disinfection of all patient care areas, equipment, and common spaces, encompassing both occupied and turnaround rooms. Successful execution demands a proficient understanding of healthcare cleaning and disinfection protocols, alongside demonstrated expertise in safe chemical handling and equipment operation. Strict adherence to organizational safety, risk management, and infection control guidelines is prerequisite, actively contributing to our culture of safety.
Engagement in departmental performance improvement initiatives, particularly those concerning patient experience and cleanliness standards, is also expected. This position necessitates meticulous management of supplies, equipment, and waste, ensuring strict compliance with all infection prevention and safety protocols. Critical thinking, personal accountability, and collaborative teamwork are essential for performing diverse facility tasks and effective issue resolution.
