Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Field Service Specialist I (FSSI) at Dignity Health Chandler Regional Medical Center, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you are a crucial Technical Leader who helps ensure our patients get great care by keeping important diagnostic medical equipment working. This senior role provides mission-critical support through expert-level Preventative Maintenance (PM), complex equipment repairs on specialized systems and crucial communication with manufacturers and vendors.

Every day, you’ll be working between multiple facilities where you can expect to encounter patients and clinicians. Your daily routines can vary depending on equipment priorities, but your best days end with all of your maintenance tickets resolved and preventative maintenance checklists completed. Your success as our Field Service Technician is rooted in your knowledge and commitment to deliver a proper solution in a timely manner.

  • Equipment repair tickets are entered into our ticketing system and tracked through completion. Once you have your assigned tickets, you will travel to the appropriate site for troubleshooting and repair.
  • You may encounter patients when conducting on-site maintenance. Respect and privacy are of utmost importance in this scenario.
  • Regularly complete assigned preventative maintenance on hospital equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair defective imaging equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate with equipment manufacturers for replacements when necessary.
