- Handles and prepares food in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Plans cooking schedule to ensure that food will be ready at designated times and not too far in advance.
- Reviews menus and census to determine types and quantities of food to be prepared for all.
- Uses and adjusts standardized recipes.
- Acts as charge person in the kitchen in the absence of the supervisor.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work area.
