Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Clinical Educator provides staff development expertise in their assigned specialty as an educator, expert clinician, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader, patient advocate and researcher.

  • Each supports the clinical and professional development of their staff, with a goal of achieving excellence in the delivery of evidence based nursing practice.
  • The Clinical Educator facilitates the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of competency, continuing education and professional development.
  • In addition, as a role model of professional behavior, the Clinical Educator assists in creating a professional nursing climate and supports the SRDH mission, vision and values.
  • Reporting relationship: Direct reporting to Education leadership.

Job Requirements

Minimum: 

  • Masters Of Nursing 
  • 7-10 years as Level 3 NICU nurse. 
  • Registered Nurse: NV (RN:NV) 
  • Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) 
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor (NRP-I) 
  • Stable Program (STBL) Stable Instructor (STBL-I) within 6 months. 

Preferred:  

  • 7-10 years as Level 3 NICU nurse with emphasis on Neonatal nursing RNC-NIC
