CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services.  CHI St. Alexius Health manages four CAHs in North Dakota - Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge, S.D. CHI St. Alexius Health offers a comprehensive line of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including: a Level II Trauma Center, primary and specialty physician clinics, home health and hospice services, durable medical equipment services, a fitness and human performance center and ancillary services throughout western and central North Dakota.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Are you an experienced HR leader passionate about shaping culture, developing talent, and partnering with executives to achieve key business outcomes? We're looking for a proactive, results-oriented HRBP to advise leadership, navigate complex challenges, and implement innovative HR solutions in a dynamic environment.

 

CHI St. Alexius is looking for an HRBP to join the team!

 

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Partner Strategically: Collaborate closely with [mention 1-2 specific business units/functions, e.g., Sales & Marketing, Engineering leaders] to align HR initiatives with business strategy, workforce planning, and organizational design.
  • Drive Talent & Performance: Lead and implement comprehensive talent management programs, including performance reviews, succession planning, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Champion Culture & Employee Relations: Advise on complex employee relations issues, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace through fair and consistent practices.
  • Lead Change & HR Initiatives: Guide leaders through organizational change, facilitate HR program implementation, and ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and company policies.
  • Analyze & Optimize: Utilize HR data and metrics to identify trends, inform decision-making, and continuously improve HR processes and outcomes.

Job Requirements

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3 years HR or leadership experience OR minimum of 5 years HR or leadership experience in the discipline OR Master’s Degree (With relevant experience; equivalent education and/or experience; experience through certifications.) 
  • HR experience should encompass generalist experience or at least 2 or more areas of specialty, e.g., compensation, benefits, employee/labor relations, talent acquisition, etc.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Demonstrated employee relations experience with a working knowledge of recruitment, training delivery, benefits and compensation theory/administration.
