Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Nuclear Medicine Technician, you will be a specialized healthcare professional, vital in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services through the precise application of radionuclides. Every day you will expertly perform Nuclear Medicine procedures, utilizing radionuclides to produce high-quality images and data for licensed practitioners. You'll ensure appropriate patient care, recognize conditions essential for successful procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate equipment, and adhere to strict radiation safety.To be successful in this role, you will need current certification, advanced technical expertise, and an exceptional eye for detail, coupled with a thorough understanding of radiation safety. Your compassionate patient care and dedication to precise imaging will be essential.

 

  • Advanced Nuclear Medicine Procedures: Performs cutting-edge Nuclear Medicine procedures using advanced equipment to produce high-quality scans
  • Patient Safety & Communication: Ensures patient safety and comfort through accurate identification, clear procedure explanations, and meticulous positioning for optimal imaging
  • Quality Assurance & Equipment Checks: Conducts thorough quality assurance checks on all equipment and work areas
  • Radiation Safety Compliance: Upholds the highest standards by meticulously following all safety protocols, especially regarding radiation
  • Supply Management Support: Assists with maintaining the supply inventory to ensure smooth operation
  • Process Improvement Participation: Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives within the department

 

We are offering a $15,000 employment incentive to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements. 

Job Requirements

Required

 

  • Graduate of an approved school of Nuclear Medicine, Board Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Clinical experience as obtained during Nuclear Medicine and Radiologic Technology schooling. May cross-train as allowed by the NDMIRTB Administrative rules 
  • Knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, date entry and analysis, computer skills
