CHI Health Lasting Hope Recovery Center is a 64-bed adult psychiatric facility dedicated to providing a place of healing and recovery. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Technician, you will be a vital and invaluable support to both the front and back office functions of our Behavioral Health department. You will work collaborative with psychiatrists, patients, and the care management team to ensure smooth operations, facilitate quality medication management, and contribute to clinical problem-solving. Every day, you'll provide essential direct patient care, including basic medication triage and vital sign monitoring, while also managing front office responsibilities like patient registration and insurance processing, and back office tasks such as refill requests and accurate EHR documentation. This role offers a unique opportunity to directly impact patient recovery, contribute to a therapeutic environment, and enhance the overall patient experience.

 

 

Schedule:

This position requires working 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, with every third weekend and rotating holidays.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field OR equivalent military experience OR a minimum of 2 years direct patient care experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR certification upon hire.
  • First Aid certification within 6 months of hire.

Preferred:

  • One (1) year of experience in the Behavioral Health field.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience working directly with behavioral health clients.
