Assists with admission and preparation of patients for endoscopy procedures; assists physicians with procedures and documents appropriately; processes equipment according to guidelines; assists with orientation of students and new staff. This person may also assist with collating departmental statistics, ordering supplies.

• Demonstrates ability to assess/interpret age-specific data.
• Encourages involvement of patient/family/significant other in decision making related to plan of care.
• Role models clinical base of practice within specialty or assigned areas, including patient advocacy and ethical conduct
• Collaborates with staff in assessing, establishing priorities and identifying realistic outcomes for patient population served.
• Demonstrates expert clinical nursing practice through direct care activities serving as a role model for staff and maintaining clinical competence.
• Facilitates nursing collaboration with other disciplines of the health care team in achieving optimal patient outcomes.

• 1 year GI/Endoscopy experience.
• AHA Basic Life Support - CPR
