Dignity Health Advanced Imaging, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, provides cutting-edge diagnostic imaging services at 23 locations across Redding, Santa Cruz, Sacramento, Woodland. Our team of 160 staff members work with our specialty trained and board certified radiologists to provide high quality care to our patients. The locations perform more than 175,000 exams annually with the goal of providing top quality imaging, compassionate care, and timely service with a smile.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Imaging Professional, you will be a highly specialized and essential member of our clinical team, pivotal in performing advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Every day, you will expertly execute diverse specialized imaging procedures, assisting physicians, meticulously monitoring patients, and precisely operating sophisticated equipment for critical real-time guidance and accurate diagnosis.

A steadfast commitment to patient safety advocacy is crucial. Ensuring patient safety is of utmost importance

  • Processes requests for the release/copy of medical information in a timely and accurate manner, and according to established procedure.
  • Responds to patient record requests and inquiries in a courteous, timely and confidential manner.
  • Requests prior medical information related to imaging exams for scheduled patients
  • Uploads and exports Imaging Exam data using PACS and Imaging sharing systems
  • Prep, scan, and index health information into various imaging information systems
  • Assists with the training of new employees

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED 
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting or clerical experience of 1+ years


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates in Health Information Management or related field
  • 3+ years of prior experience in an HIM Department for a healthcare facility or clinic
