Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Specialty Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

  • Coordinates in collaboration with Nurse Manager and Director of Surgical Services orientation of all new Surgery Staff.
  • Leads efforts to improve processes and to monitor quality in surgical specialty.
  • Develops, reviews and revises policies as required.
  • Maintains accurate and timely preference cards for all surgeons in the specialty area.
  • Serves as a resource with a high level of knowledge and competence in the assigned area of surgical specialty. Maintains annual CME in area of specialty.
  • Assures that necessary supplies and equipment are available for scheduled cases.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Associate of Nursing and three years of experience as a Surgery RN or Scrub Tech.
  • Registered Nurse: AZ
  • Basic Life Support - AHA BLS
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS


Preferred

  • Bachelor's of Nursing, and three years of experience as a Surgery RN or Scrub Tech
  • Three years of current operating room experience in specialty
