This position floats to 3 levels of care in 1-2 facilities, is paid a 20% differential (of the base hourly rate)!
As our Patient Sitter, you will provide continuous observation and direct companionship to patients who require close monitoring, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will be instrumental in preventing falls, self-harm, and other potential risks while offering comfort and reassurance.
Every day you will remain at the patient's bedside, observing their behavior, alerting nursing staff to any changes in condition or concerning actions, and engaging in simple, non-clinical interactions. You will be expected to maintain a calm and reassuring presence, communicate effectively with the healthcare team, and strictly adhere to patient confidentiality and hospital protocols.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong observational skills, patience, empathy, reliability, and the ability to remain attentive for extended periods. A compassionate and caring demeanor is essential.
High School Diploma/GED
American Heart Association Basic Life Support
Customer Service & Effective Listening skills required
Experience in healthcare desired
