Founded in 1955, Dignity Health - Northridge Hospital Medical Center is a 394-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located. Serving over 80,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level II Trauma Center, heart care, cancer care and women’s health. It is the only pediatric trauma center in the San Fernando Valley.

The health information management technician ensures the physical access to the outpatient medical records and provides information for physicians, clinicians, patients and the general public. The technician assures the safety and confidentially of the medical record and facilitates complete information. The employee is responsible for general filing and retrieval activities, works with Master Patient Index, handles filing of physician requests for copies, ancillary reports and patient folders. Interacts with physicians by retrieving records for them to complete. The employee is responsible for assembly and analysis of outpatient medical records and assists physicians in completion. Consolidates medical records numbers based on daily report.
