Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Retail Pharmacist you will optimize the delivery of retail pharmaceutical care, ensuring efficient, accurate, and safe dispensing of medications while upholding the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance. You'll play a critical role in achieving departmental financial and customer service objectives through your clinical expertise and operational excellence. This is an exceptional opportunity for a licensed pharmacist to elevate patient outcomes and contribute to a thriving healthcare environment.

Every day you will meticulously process prescription orders, encompassing data entry, comprehensive drug utilization review (DUR) to identify potential interactions and allergies, and precise final product verification. You'll engage directly with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, providing vital medication counseling and education in accordance with state laws. Additionally, you'll consult with insurance providers for authorization, clarify prescriptions with medical providers, and expertly manage ancillary staff workflow, all while ensuring adherence to inventory management and customer service goals.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a valid pharmacist license and demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of retail pharmacy operations, including dispensing, counseling, and regulatory compliance. Your expertise in drug utilization review, medication safety protocols, and current knowledge of pharmaceutical information technology systems will be paramount. We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused individual with excellent communication skills, cultural competence, and a proactive approach to maintaining best practices in pharmacy care, including potential involvement in immunizations and MTM programs.
