As a CNA in our staffing pool, you will have the opportunity to work in various departments, including medical-surgical, telemetry, and emergency services, gaining diverse experience and expanding your skills. This position offers exceptional flexibility and the chance to make a difference in the lives of patients throughout our system.

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
• Monitor and report changes in patients' condition to the nursing staff.
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).
• Assist with patient ambulation and transfers.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
• Document care provided in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Required:

• Current CNA Certification (CT NA)
• Current AHA CPR certification (CT CPRBLS)
• High School education or equivalent
• Successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant program. 

Preferred Requirements:

• Six (6) months of recent hospital experience as a CNA

Special Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to operate common office equipment, including computers.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures.
