Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Diagnostic Imaging Special Procedures Technologist, you will be a central figure in our advanced imaging team, expertly performing complex diagnostic and interventional procedures using various imaging modalities to obtain critical diagnostic information. You will play a vital role in patient care, ensuring technical precision, radiation safety, and patient comfort.

Every day, you will meticulously prepare procedure rooms, operate advanced imaging equipment (e.g., fluoroscopy, angiography), administer contrast safely, and assist physicians during intricate interventions. You will also provide essential patient education, monitor conditions closely, maintain meticulous records, and perform daily quality assurance, strictly adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.

To be successful in this role, you will combine ARRT certification, specialized advanced certification (e.g., CV, VI, or CT), and a profound understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and procedural imaging. You will demonstrate exceptional critical thinking and meticulous attention to detail, thriving in a dynamic, high-pressure environment dedicated to delivering high-quality, precise special procedures imaging.

  • Demonstrates competency in patient care for neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients
  • Technologist can be required to participate in the departments call schedule to ensure coverage weeknights, weekends and holidays
  • May have access to or be required to distribute drugs, needles or syringes from storage locations, (such as large stock supplies, automated dispensing units and other carts) to/within patient care areas or treatment carts as defined by hospital policy/procedure

Job Requirements

Required:

  • California Medical Radiographer License
  • Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
  • Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license, issued by the California Department of Public Health 

Preferred:

  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (MRI)
