Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Mammography Technologist, you will be vital in early breast cancer detection, performing high-quality mammographic imaging with precision and compassion.

Every day, you will expertly operate equipment, meticulously position patients, ensure comfort, perform quality control, and maintain accurate records. You'll collaborate with radiologists and adhere to safety and regulatory standards for comprehensive breast health.

To be successful in this role, you will possess current mammography certification, exceptional technical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a compassionate demeanor, ensuring accurate diagnostics and positive patient experiences.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Washington State License as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Certificate from the American Registry of Radiological Technology to include mammography
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in Diagnostic Radiology (or two (2) years at VM as a student tech)
  • Twenty-four (24) hours of continuing medical education are required every two (2) years
  • CPR license to be renewed every two (2) years
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology
  • Strong organizational skills
  • A willingness to grow with technological changes occurring in the field
  • The ability to manage stressful situations appropriately, attend to multiple tasks, work independently and be versatile and flexible
  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred

  • Two (2) years of experience in mammography
